I’ve used all sorts of guitar plugins for all sorts of purposes between tracking guitars to playing them live. I’m late to the Fortin’s “Nameless” suite hype train but WOW. I play using an unorthodox guitar setup and fear many plug-ins struggle to accommodate. The “Nameless” suite, however, integrates with my playing style with ease and has cemented its place among my recording arsenal. I’m conservative with my gain though my gate is really tight, which typically means you need to overcompensate by picking your guitar even harder (which by no means is a bad thing!). I notice my playing dynamics are much more akin to playing with a real amplifier and it takes me a fraction of the time to dial in the perfect guitar tone.
