Cortex Cloud (web) has been updated!

We are excited to announce a comprehensive update to the web-based version of Cortex Cloud, aimed at improving performance and enhancing the user experience. These updates focus on optimizing core functionalities and ensuring a smoother, more reliable interaction. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the key changes:

Login Enhancements

Authentication Feedback

Users will now receive immediate feedback when authentication errors occur, such as incorrect passwords or invalid login attempts. This improvement allows users to quickly identify and correct issues during the login process, creating a smoother entry experience into Cortex Cloud.

Performance Boosts

Feed

The Home Feed and My Feed pages have been optimized to minimize latency and ensure that browsing the feed is faster and more responsive. In addition, items within the Feed now open in modals, allowing users to view content without leaving the page.

Discover 

The Discover tab has been reimplemented from the ground up. Along with improved performance, this section is now better optimized for browsing, making it easier for users to find new Presets, Captures, and other content.

Global

Other performance improvements have been made throughout Cortex Cloud to reduce loading times.

IR Upload Redesign

The entire IR upload process has been redesigned, making it more intuitive and reliable.

Improved Error Reporting

The system now provides clearer error messages, allowing users to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues during the upload process.

File Drop Support 

Users can now easily drag and drop files into the uploader, simplifying the process of adding IRs.

Stable Uploads 

Files are queued for more stable connections, ensuring a more consistent upload experience, even with slower or unstable internet connections.

Preset and Capture Viewer Overhaul

New Modal-Based Interface 

Both the Preset and Capture viewers have been reimplemented as popup modals, streamlining the user interface. This allows for quick edits, sharing, and reporting without the need for page reloads.

Presets

The Preset view now includes a Buy Now button for PCOM plugins, enabling users to quickly purchase relevant plugins.

Scenes Reimplemented

The view of Scenes within Presets has been reworked to function more effectively and in line with user expectations.

Profile Page Redesign

The user profile section has received a visual overhaul, with a more modern and user-friendly design. This makes it easier for users to manage their profiles, update information, and interact with their followers and following lists.

Redesigned Edit Profile Functionality

The process of editing a user profile has been revamped to provide a more intuitive and seamless experience.

Followers and Followings

The follower and following lists now open in modals, allowing users to browse connections without leaving the profile page.
