Overview
Everything about Rabea is distinctive, from his look, the breadth of styles he effortlessly flows throughout, to his tone-crafting abilities. We have been working together since our very beginnings and knew that when it was time to make his Archetype, we would have to do something as inspired and extraordinary as the man himself. We ensured that every element in this plugin–every amplifier and effect, was completely novel.
And nothing symbolizes novelty more than the Overlord monosynth, the first of its type in a commercial guitar plugin. This algorithm represented uncharted territory for us in every way. Delivering extraordinarily seamless tracking and such a complete feature-set in a simple user interface pushed us to new limits. It truly embodies the uncompromising and inspired spirit with which we created this plugin.

Overlord Synth
Our subtractive monosynth incorporates proprietary note triggering, pitch tracking, and envelope tracking algorithms that together allow you to control the synth without the need for a keyboard or MIDI programming. Featuring two oscillators with unison options, a ladder-style filter, and a built-in arpeggiator, this intelligent device brings world-class synth sounds to the modern guitarist.
Use the pre/post switch to change the synth’s placement in the signal chain, allowing you to affect its signal with the other devices in the plugin.
Pre Effects
We distilled Rabea’s extensive experience with effects pedals into four incredible devices - a Dual Compressor, Octaver, Fuzz, and Overdrive - to cover everything from chimy blues to colossal distortion. Use the vintage/modern switches on the Octaver, Fuzz, and Overdrive to toggle between independent algorithms with era-appropriate characteristics.
Amps
Three remarkable amplifiers, meticulously tweaked with Rabea to deliver a world of vintage and modern tones.
Clean
Traditional Cali cleans with added modern chime, this simplistic amp is truly one for the classic players.
Rhythm
An all-rounder by no exaggeration! This amplifier excels at edge-of-breakup, searing gain, and everything in between.
Lead
An incredibly malleable modern high-gain amplifier, delivering all the tight or saggy chugs you could ever possibly desire.
Cabsim
A comprehensive cabsim module with brand-new IRs captured by Neural DSP. Featuring six virtual microphones that can be easily positioned around the speakers. In addition to the included IRs, this module can be used to load your own impulse responses. The room mic section gives you a cabinet-matched pair of microphones for each cab.
EQ
The onboard 4-band semi-parametric equalizer allows for total control over frequency response. There’s one each for the clean, rhythm, and lead amps.
Post-Effects
With somebody as renowned for their abundant use of delay and reverb as Rabea, we knew we’d have to bring two new algorithms to our post-effects section.
Stereo Delay: As analog as you can get in a plugin! This delay features all the usual parameters you’d expect, with Icicles and Cross-feed controls for infinite dreamy delay sounds. Toggle the pre/post switch to position the delay before the amplifier for a vintage approach to tonecrafting.
Reverb: Vast, rich, and endlessly expansive, just as you’d imagine! Hit the Freeze button while playing a chord to suspend it in space, transforming it into a pad you can jam over while using the independent “Volume” and “Pitch” controls to change its sound.
Metronome
To perfectly supplement your practice, the metronome allows you to control time signature, accent sounds, and note values (the metronome is only available in Standalone).
Transpose & Doubler
Transpose leverages our proprietary pitch shifting technology to pitch your instrument up or down.
Doubler projects your signal to a stereo field with an adjustable spread control to give richness and depth.
Standalone
No DAW? No problem! Run Archetype: Rabea as a standalone app with no additional software required.
