Morgan Amps Suite X

Overview

Rooted in classic British and American amplifier designs, Morgan Amplification has earned a devoted following among guitarists who prize the way an amplifier responds to their playing. It’s easy to hear and feel why: the warmth and clarity, the way a clean note gives way to rich breakup, and the response to every change in touch.

Founded by guitarist and amplifier builder Joe Morgan in 2009, the company grew around the needs of working musicians. As boutique pedals opened up new possibilities for guitarists, Joe built amplifiers that could bring out their full potential. Drawing on the vintage designs he loved, he made touch response, careful construction, and the relationship between guitar, pedals, and amplifier defining qualities of his work.

That approach has resonated with players as varied as Josh Smith, Michael Landau, and Tosin Abasi. Across different styles and demanding stage and studio setups, Morgan amplifiers give each player room to shape a sound of their own.

Together with Morgan, we’ve meticulously recreated three of their most sought-after amplifiers in digital form: the AC20, PR12, and SW50R. Each brings its own character, from clear, open cleans to rich, saturated overdrive, complemented by carefully voiced effects that build on their natural affinity for pedals. New tools for shaping your sound and refining your workflow make that collection even more rewarding to explore.

We proudly present to you, the Morgan Amps Suite X.

Amplifiers

Three distinct interpretations of classic amplifier design, built to respond to every nuance of your playing and bring out the best in your pedals. Each offers its own character, from clear, open cleans to rich, saturated overdrive.

AC20

The AC20 draws on the chime and character of a vintage Vox AC30 in a single-channel, 20-watt design. Clear, ringing tones grow warmer and thicker as you turn up the gain, opening into rich overdrive.

PR12

Inspired by a vintage Fender Princeton Reverb, the PR12 brings an intimate feel to its single-channel, 12-watt design. Bright, clear cleans give way to soft, yielding overdrive as the amp is pushed. The PR12 also features a distinctive spring reverb that has become a hallmark of its sound.

SW50R

Entirely hand-wired and built to order, the SW50R embodies Morgan’s attention to detail. This single-channel, 50-watt amplifier draws on the character of a Dumble clean channel, complemented by tube-driven spring reverb. Push it to full volume and that clean voice gives way to thick, saturated breakup, with the weight and texture for grunge and stoner rock.

Cabsim + IR Loader

The Morgan 112 pairs an open-back design with a Celestion Creamback speaker, giving these amplifiers room to breathe. Its Baltic birch construction and fixed baffle deliver a full low end and rich midrange, with the character of classic late-’60s cabinets.

The Morgan 112 has earned a reputation to rival the amplifiers themselves, regarded by many as one of the finest 1×12 cabinets available.

Choose from hundreds of IRs or load your own. Ten positionable microphones let you fine-tune your sound. Use a single mic for focus, blend two for more depth and width, or bring in the room mic for a natural sense of space.

Pre Effects

Morgan amplifiers reward a great pedal pairing. These four effects bring out that relationship, adding sustain, drive, and movement while letting each amp’s character shine through.

CMP: Inspired by the compressor circuits in high-end recording consoles, CMP brings detail and sustain forward while keeping your playing dynamics intact. The Blend control lets you mix in your dry signal to preserve the natural attack.

OD1: A familiar overdrive voice with a warm, pronounced midrange. Use it to push the amplifiers into richer breakup or bring more focus and presence to a lead.

OD2: A more saturated overdrive that follows your touch while preserving the character of your guitar and amplifier. Move from a little extra warmth to thicker, more driven tones.

TRM: The warm, rolling pulse of classic American amplifier tremolo, with tempo sync to keep the movement in time with your music.

EQ

A 9-band graphic EQ for each amplifier, featuring high-pass and low-pass filters, gives you precise control over your tone.

Post Effects

Give your sound a sense of space, from the warmth of tape echo to long reverb trails that carry each note further.

DLY: Inspired by ’70s tape echo units, DLY surrounds your playing with warm repeats. Tempo sync keeps them in time, ping-pong mode adds stereo movement, and high-pass and low-pass filters let you shape how they sit behind the original note.

RVB: Add a little depth or let the sound unfold into vast, lingering ambience. This studio-grade reverb moves easily from subtle reflections to trails that seem to go on forever.
