What’s new in NanOS 2.2.0
Neural Capture Version 2 Player
NanOS 2.2.0 introduces support for Neural Capture Version 2, an advanced evolution of Neural Capture trained via Cortex Cloud for higher resolution and more detailed results.
With this update, Nano Cortex can load and play V2 Neural Captures created on Quad Cortex. Capture creation is currently only available on Quad Cortex, with support for creating V2 Captures on Nano Cortex under development.
To showcase the capabilities of Neural Capture V2 on Nano Cortex, we’ve added 669 V2 Captures across 41 device types to our Cortex Cloud profile for you to download:

Compared to V1, Neural Capture V2 offers greater dynamic accuracy and realism, especially with complex or highly touch-sensitive devices such as fuzzes, compressors, and responsive amplifiers. This makes it the most accurate solution on the market for capturing the dynamic cleanup behavior of a vintage fuzz, the natural bloom of a sagging power amp, and the fast transient response of a studio compressor. It also models controls like blend knobs with improved precision.
V1 and V2 each serve their purpose. V1 remains fast, efficient, and fully offline, ideal for most amplifiers, cabinets, and overdrives. V2 is designed for the most dynamic and expressive devices, delivering the highest level of detail and feel.

Cortex Cloud Offline Mode
You can now access your device settings in the Cortex Cloud app without an internet connection on your mobile device.
Automatic Sum to Mono
When enabled, Nano Cortex will automatically sum all output signals to mono when only one cable is connected to either Output 1L or Output 2R.
Tremolo
A new Tremolo effect has been added to the effects library. It can be loaded onto Post Effects Slot 1.
Capture Auditioning
You can now quickly audition Captures and IRs using the Cortex Cloud app. Audition directly from the Cloud or your device with a single tap.
Cloud Backups
Create up to five backups of your Nano Cortex and store them on Cortex Cloud.
Preset Rearrange
Drag and drop presets in the Cortex Cloud app for easy rearrangement.
Fixed
System stability and performance
Improved Cortex Cloud app stability to prevent crashes caused by rapid user input or unexpected errors.
Fixed an issue that could cause audio outputs to mute after downloading and assigning a Neural Capture from the cloud.
Fixed an issue where audible pops could occur when switching between certain Neural Captures.
Content management
Fixed an issue that prevented new Neural Captures from being saved correctly when using the device’s SAVE button.
Resolved an issue where Presets could fail to load a newly selected user-made Neural Capture.
Fixed an issue in the Cortex Cloud app that prevented scrolling through the full list of available Impulse Responses.
Newly saved Captures now appear immediately in the Cortex Cloud app library without requiring an app or device reboot.
Hardware, expression & MIDI control
Fixed an issue that could cause an unexpected volume increase when reloading a Preset with expression pedal assignments.
Parameters assigned to an expression pedal no longer revert to their maximum value after being adjusted with a physical knob on Nano Cortex.
Footswitches now function correctly to exit menus after receiving MIDI commands (for example, when opening the tuner via CC#43).
