Quad Cortex Import Duties & Tax Information

As we prepare our systems to begin collecting final payments for Quad Cortex pre-orders, I wanted to give more details about payment currencies, VAT, import duties, and shipping information.

First off, the price you pay for a Quad Cortex directly from Neural DSP matches the amount you would pay a local dealer. If you live in a country where you will be charged import duties, those duties would also be reflected in the price your local dealer would charge.

Secondly, we cannot control who does/doesn’t pay import duties and who does/doesn’t pay VAT. If you live in the EU/UK, by law, we have to charge you VAT. Your final payment amount will be €1399 (including VAT). If you live outside of the EU/UK, we do not charge VAT, you will pay for your Quad Cortex in USD, and your final payment amount will be $1399. Still, you may incur import duties or additional charges upon receiving your Quad Cortex, depending on which country you live in.

Import duties include, where applicable: VAT, federal sales tax, and border-related duty and handling costs. UPS might contact you to pay for these if you live in a non-EU country. The cost of the duties varies for each country. Customers in the USA and Canada may also need to pay regional sales taxes. If your region collects these taxes, it is your responsibility to pay them to your tax collector.

If you are a business that has a valid EU/UK VAT number that qualifies you for a VAT-deducted invoice, please contact us after paying for your Quad Cortex so we can refund the VAT from your order.

If you paid your deposit in a different currency to the one listed below, we will convert your order to the correct currency, and your deposit will be exchanged (from EUR to USD or vice-versa) at the market rate from the time you paid your deposit. The final amount you pay will be adjusted so that you do not pay more or less than you should. You are unable to change the currency for which you pay the final amount.

Upon completing your payment, you will receive an order confirmation email that confirms we have received your payment and your order is ready for processing. You will next receive a shipment notification email when your Quad Cortex is on its way to you. This will contain your UPS tracking number.

Andorra You will be billed in USD. We do not anticipate any import duties.

Arab Emirates You will be billed in USD. Expect to pay import duties.

Aruba You will be billed in USD. Expect to pay import duties.

Australia You will be billed in USD. Expect to pay import duties.

Austria You will be billed in EUR. We do not anticipate any import duties.
