Added
Incoming MIDI CC
Nano Cortex can receive MIDI CC messages for:
Bypassing individual device slots
Controlling expression pedal position
Tap Tempo
Tuner On/Off
Tap Tempo
On device:
Hold Footswitch I to enter Tap Tempo mode. Footswitch I’s LED will blink at the current tempo. Set the tempo by pressing Footswitch I.
Exit Tap Tempo mode by pressing Footswitch II.
Footswitch I’s LED flashes blue when incoming MIDI clock is sent to Nano Cortex.
On the Cortex Cloud app:
The Tempo menu now features a tap pad, precise BPM number entry, and the ability to select between global or Preset-specific tempos.
Select between external MIDI clock sources (USB MIDI or TRS MIDI).
IR Loader Bypass
Independently bypass the IR Loader on a specific output.
MIDI Thru
Forwards MIDI messages received via the TRS MIDI input directly to the USB MIDI output.
USB Playback Volume
Set the volume level for audio from a USB-connected device.
Mute Input
Mutes the analog input's direct monitoring path. Essential for re-amping workflows to hear only the processed signal from your DAW.
Mute Outputs
Mutes the analog outputs to prevent signal doubling when monitoring entirely within your DAW.
Keep Reverb and Delay trails on bypass
Keep Reverb and Delay trails when bypassing Nano Cortex (only applicable in when 4-Preset mode is disabled).
Changed
Smoother LED ring operation that shows intermediate steps.
Fixed
Systems stability & crashes
Resolved critical issues that could cause Nano Cortex to crash or freeze, particularly when downloading a Neural Capture or when left idle for an extended period.
Addressed a bug that would result in no audio passing through the Nano Cortex if a Preset was loaded that used a deleted Neural Capture.
Audio issues & noise reduction
Fixed a bug that produced a brief yet audible click when switching between Presets with and without an IR.
Eliminated unwanted noise that could be heard when loading a Preset with an active Input Gate.
IR reliability
Fixed an issue where a deleted IR could remain active in a Preset.
Fixed a bug where an IR could be inactive despite the UI showing it as active when loading a Preset.
Preset management
The Input Gate now maintains its correct on/off state when loading a new Preset via footswitches.
Fixed a bug that allowed multiple Presets to be created with the same name.
Expression pedal assignments are no longer deleted from an unsaved Preset after entering and exiting the Neural Capture menu.
Hardware
Knobs now operate correctly in Latching mode after returning from the Tuner or Neural Capture menus.
Improved the device's startup sequence for better reliability.
A Preset change no longer occurs when enabling 4-Preset mode while Nano Cortex is bypassed.
Bank LEDs no longer remain lit when loading a Neural Capture.
SAVE and CAPTURE LEDs no longer stay lit after their operation is complete.
