Loading plugin devices on Quad Cortex
Plugin devices behave in exactly the same way as native Quad Cortex devices. They are also loaded onto The Grid in the same manner. Tap on an empty space in The Grid to create a new Virtual Device Block. When the Device List is open, scroll to the top and select the “Plugins” folder to open the list of plugin devices.
Loading plugin presets on Quad Cortex
To load plugin presets, open the Preset Directory, tap the Presets dropdown menu in the top left corner, and select “Plugin Presets”. You can then access the presets of any compatible plugins that you own.
By selecting the default preset of any plugin, it will load all the corresponding plugin devices onto The Grid.
FAQs
Can I load any Neural DSP plugin on my Quad Cortex?
Plugins currently compatible with Quad Cortex are marked with a 'COMPATIBLE' badge on their product cards and pages. Visit our PCOM page for a full list of all plugins currently compatible with Quad Cortex.
Why are plugins that I own unavailable on Quad Cortex with a lock icon next to their name?
If you find that plugin devices are unavailable with a lock icon next to their name, please ensure that:
You have signed into your Neural DSP account on your Quad Cortex
Your plugin licenses are active and correctly associated with your account
Compatible plugins are missing from my Quad Cortex device list
Compatible plugins will only be available on Quad Cortex once the corresponding CorOS version has been released and installed.
For example, CorOS 3.0.0 introduces compatibility for Archetype: Plini X and Archetype: Gojira X. If you own licenses for these plugins, they will unlock when you sign into your Neural DSP account on your Quad Cortex with CorOS 3.0.0 or a later version installed.
Always make sure that your Quad Cortex is updated to the latest CorOS version.
Will using a plugin on Quad Cortex use up one of the three activation slots on iLok? What if I have run out of activations?
Using a plugin on Quad Cortex will not affect the number of license activations you have available on iLok. The plugin will still run on Quad Cortex if no activations are available.
Will I need to buy the plugins again for them to work on Quad Cortex?
No. As long as there are Quad Cortex-compatible versions, any plugins you have already purchased will function on your Quad Cortex.
If I have more than one Quad Cortex, how many of them can I use my plugins on?
You can use your plugins on up to three Quad Cortex.
